Using Google Analytics with Bonfire
A step-by-step guide on how to use google analytics with Bonfire to track your site’s traffic and other metrics.
- Go to https://analytics.google.com/ and sign up for a new account if you don’t have one already.
- Log into your new account
- If it’s a new account, click on Start Measuring and follow the instructions to setup a property for your website.
- If it’s an old account, scroll down and click on Admin.
- Create a new account if you haven’t already and then proceed to creating a property
- After successfully creating a property, follow the instructions to start collecting data. To use with Bonfire, select Web when prompted to choose a platform.
- Paste your site’s URL, give your stream a name and click Create Stream.
- After successfully creating your data stream, a new pop-up will display your stream information. Copy the Measurement ID.
- Go to your bonfire dashboard, click on account and then settings.
- Scroll down and paste your Measurement ID in the Google Analytics field.
- Don’t forget to save changes.
- That’s it. You can now use Google Analytics to monitor your website's performance, including the number of visitors and how long they stay.
