Using Google Analytics with Bonfire

A step-by-step guide on how to use google analytics with Bonfire to track your site’s traffic and other metrics.
  1. Go to https://analytics.google.com/ and sign up for a new account if you don’t have one already.
  2. Log into your new account
  3. If it’s a new account, click on Start Measuring and follow the instructions to setup a property for your website.

  5. If it’s an old account, scroll down and click on Admin.
  6. Create a new account if you haven’t already and then proceed to creating a property

  8. After successfully creating a property, follow the instructions to start collecting data. To use with Bonfire, select Web when prompted to choose a platform.

  10. Paste your site’s URL, give your stream a name and click Create Stream.

  12. After successfully creating your data stream, a new pop-up will display your stream information. Copy the Measurement ID.

  14. Go to your bonfire dashboard, click on account and then settings.
  15. Scroll down and paste your Measurement ID in the Google Analytics field.
  16. Don’t forget to save changes.
  17. That’s it. You can now use Google Analytics to monitor your website's performance, including the number of visitors and how long they stay.
